"When art and mechanics are devoted to time"

WATCHMAKING ARTISANS

ABOUT ME

As far back as I can remember, two things have always been inseparable in my life: mechanics and art.

My father, a cabinetmaker, passed on to me at a very early age a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and working with materials. As a child, I spent my time imagining and building machines, driven by an ever-present desire to create.

After completing a baccalaureate in industrial mechanics, I continued my studies in robotics. Yet I did not see myself in the industrial system; I missed the sensitive, artistic dimension of mechanics.
It was through discovering watchmaking that I found this perfect fusion between technical rigor and creative expression — a universe where mechanics become a language, and where creation seems limitless.

This revelation led me to enroll at Lycée Edgar Faure in Morteau, a reference in watchmaking education. Through apprenticeship, I explored several facets of the profession — monumental watchmaking, prototyping, and servicing timepieces for major watch brands — refining my understanding of movement, time, and gesture.

WATCHMAKING AS AN OBJECT OF ART

The creation of Maison Khatchadourian marks the beginning of a great adventure: a space for creation where I can express my own vision of watchmaking, from design to mechanical conception, placing meaning and intention at the heart of every piece.

Based in a workshop in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, i am guided by the pursuit of absolute coherence in every creation. Nothing is left to chance: every choice is intentional, every detail has a reason.

I draw inspiration from diverse worlds to convey emotion, beyond mere function. For me, watchmaking is as much an art as it is a tool. That is why I develop horological complications that lean more toward artistic expression than purely utilitarian logic.

Each watch is conceived as a singular work, intended for collectors who value meaning, creation, and mechanical authenticity.

Passionate about art and design, I strive to create timepieces with a strong aesthetic language while preserving the essence of artisanal watchmaking. I am convinced that these two worlds can not only coexist but also enrich one another.
